Chinese man ties the knot with Keraniganj young woman

Overcoming barriers of language, culture, and geographical distance, a Chinese national, Wang Xiaopang, came to Bangladesh, embraced Islam, and married a young woman of Keraniganj, Dhaka. After converting to Islam, he was named Shubho Islam.
It is learned that the bride's name is Sanjida Akhter. She is a resident of Hajinagar area in Shubhadhya Union, South Keraniganj, Dhaka, and is the daughter of the late Kabir Hossain.
According to the family, the two first came into contact through social media and began regular communication. Over time, that acquaintance blossomed into trust and love. Eventually, they decided to spend their lives together.
Following that decision, Wang Xiaopang came to Bangladesh and voluntarily embraced Islam. Later, on July 27, with the consent of both families, their marriage was solemnized according to Islamic Shariah law.
Sanjida Akhter said that their initial contact was through social media. Gradually, they got the opportunity to know each other better. Based on mutual respect, trust, and understanding, they decided to get married. They tied the knot after he came to Bangladesh and accepted Islam.
Shubho Islam said, "I have been fascinated by the sincerity, hospitality, and family bonds of the people here in Bangladesh. My decision to embrace Islam was my own. I want to build a beautiful family with my wife, founded on love and respect."
The bride's mother, Nasima Begum, said they agreed to the marriage considering their daughter's happiness. She believes that their new life will be beautiful through mutual cooperation and understanding.
After the news of the wedding spread, curiosity about the couple has grown across Keraniganj. Every day, people from the surrounding areas are flocking to the bride's house to catch a glimpse of the foreign son-in-law. Many are offering their best wishes to the newlyweds, while others are taking photos with them and posting them on social media.
