A total of 179 government officials have been promoted from the rank of Deputy Secretary to Joint Secretary, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday.
The promoted officials have been designated as Special Officers on Duty (OSD) under the Ministry of Public Administration. They have been instructed to submit their joining letters, either in person or via email, to the Senior Secretary of the ministry.
The notification states that if an official's workplace has changed since the promotion order was issued, the joining letter must include the name and address of the current posting.
It also notes that the government reserves the right to amend or revoke the promotion order if any adverse or conflicting information regarding any of the promoted officials emerges at a later stage.
