Ten Deputy Commissioners Promoted to Joint Secretary

Ten Deputy Commissioners (DCs) are among the 179 Deputy Secretaries promoted to the rank of Joint Secretary in the latest government reshuffle.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Thursday announcing the promotion of 172 Deputy Secretaries to Joint Secretary. In a separate notification, seven Deputy Secretaries serving at Bangladesh's embassies, high commissions and other overseas offices were also promoted, bringing the total number of promotions to 179.
The Deputy Commissioners promoted to Joint Secretary are:
Md. Nurul Karim Bhuiyan, DC of Gazipur,
Abu Saleh Md. Musa Jangi, DC of Chapainawabganj,
Kazi Shahidul Islam, DC of Rajshahi,
Mohammad Nayiruzzaman, DC of Nilphamari,
Farida Khanam, DC of Dhaka,
Sharifa Haque, DC of Tangail,
Tahsina Begum, DC of Shariatpur,
Mohammad Zahidul Islam Mia, DC of Chattogram,
Motakabbir Ahmed, DC of Magura, and
Mohammad Shahid Hossain Chowdhury, DC of Patuakhali.
