Storm warning in 16 regions with winds up to 60 Kmph

Gusty winds may sweep over 16 regions across the country from the south or southeast direction within the night. Additionally, temporary rain or thundershowers may occur, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
This information was provided in the river port forecast given on Monday by Meteorologist Md. Tariful Newaz Kabir.
The forecast states that within 1:00 AM tonight, the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogura, Dhaka, Tangail, Mymensingh, Faridpur, Jashore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, and Cox's Bazar may experience temporary rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty or squally winds blowing at speeds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour from the south or southeast direction. The river ports in these areas have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal No. 1.
Meanwhile, in its morning forecast, the weather office reported that the axis of the monsoon trough extends from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal through the northern part of Bangladesh up to Assam. One of its associated troughs extends up to the Northwest Bay of Bengal. The monsoon is active over the northern parts of the country and moderate over other parts, while it remains moderate over the North Bay of Bengal.
Furthermore, until 9:00 AM on Tuesday (July 21), most places in the Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, as well as many places in the Khulna division, may experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds.
