Thunderstorm Expected in Dhaka Today

The Dhaka Meteorological Department has forecast rain or thunderstorms in Dhaka again today. The forecast, issued for Dhaka and surrounding areas for the six-hour period starting from 7:00 am on Sunday, said rainfall is likely to continue, following several days of showers in the city.
On Friday (12 June), Dhaka recorded 43 millimetres of rainfall, while 35 millimetres was recorded on Saturday.
According to the weather forecast, the sky over Dhaka may remain partly cloudy to temporarily cloudy throughout the day, with chances of thunderstorms or rain accompanied by thunder.
Winds may blow from the south or southeast at speeds of 10 to 15 kilometres per hour on Sunday, while daytime temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
At 6:00 am today, the temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 28.1°C, with humidity at 88 per cent.
Yesterday, the highest temperature recorded in the capital was 34°C, while today’s minimum temperature stood at 24.6°C.
