Storms likely in 7 regions by noon, No. 3 warning signal at two seaports

The weather office has forecast storms with wind speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour in seven regions of the country by noon. Although no rain has been forecast in the capital Dhaka today, the sky may remain cloudy, according to the forecast. Meanwhile, two seaports in the country have been asked to display the No. 3 warning signal.
According to the weather forecast issued for the country’s inland river ports from 5 am to 1 pm on Tuesday, rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds from the southeast or east at speeds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour may sweep over Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar regions today. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display the No. 1 warning signal, according to the forecast.
The weather forecast for Dhaka and adjoining areas for the six hours from 7 am said the sky over Dhaka may remain cloudy today. The weather may remain mainly dry.
On Tuesday, winds may blow from the west northwest at speeds of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour in Dhaka. The day temperature may remain generally unchanged today.
The temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 28.3 degrees Celsius at 6 a.m. today. Humidity was 81 percent at that time. The highest temperature recorded in Dhaka yesterday was 36 degrees Celsius. Today’s lowest temperature is 28.1 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the sea remains rough near the center of a deep depression formed over the North Andaman Sea and adjoining Myanmar coast. In a forecast issued yesterday, the Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra seaports were asked to lower the No. 1 distant warning signal and instead display the No. 3 local warning signal at Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar seaports.
Fishing boats and trawlers operating in the North Bay of Bengal have been advised not to venture into the deep sea and the northeastern Bay of Bengal until further notice.
