Rainfall decreases, sultry heat may increase further

As the active rain band across the country begins to weaken slightly, the intensity of rainfall has started to decrease. Along with that, the discomfort of sultry heat may increase proportionally.
Today, Saturday (5 September), the sky over most parts of the country may remain partly cloudy. However, relatively more areas may see sunshine, according to the private weather organization Bangladesh Weather Observation Team Limited.
The organization's forecast says that today, the Khulna, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, and Barishal divisions may have slightly more cloud cover. Overall, however, the extent of rainfall may decrease and become confined to a few districts. There is a possibility of scattered moderate to heavy rainfall in some places of the Chattogram, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Khulna divisions.
Additionally, light to moderate rain may occur in one or two places in the Barishal, Sylhet, and Rangpur divisions.
The (unannounced) rain band that started from September 1 may persist until September 8. However, it is now somewhat less active. Due to the decrease in rainfall, day and night temperatures may rise slightly.
