Pori Moni goes live over viral video, later deletes it

Pori Moni went live in the middle of the night and spoke about many things. Later, she deleted the video. Recently, an objectionable AI generated video of Pori Moni was posted on the Instagram account of a television channel. The post sparked discussions and criticism on social media. The organization claimed that its account had been hacked. Expressing her anger over the incident, Pori Moni went live on her Facebook page on Friday night.

During the livestream, Pori Moni said the video was not new. Many people had sent it to her on WhatsApp about one to one and a half years ago. However, the issue resurfaced after it was published through the account of a verified media outlet. According to her, a responsible organization cannot avoid accountability when such a video is published through its account.

The actress also questioned the apology issued by the organization concerned. According to Pori Moni, saying only “sorry” does not bring everything to an end. Expressing her anger over the video remaining online for an extended period after its publication, she said it could have been removed much sooner if the organization had wanted to do so.

At one point during the livestream, Pori Moni pointed to the shoe cabinet behind her and said the shoes there were real. Using the word “original,” she highlighted the difference between the AI generated video and reality.

Pori Moni also criticized those showing excessive interest in the video on social media. She alleged that some people were going into the comment sections of other people's posts to ask whether the link to the video was available. She said such behavior reflected their own mentality.

During the livestream, Pori Moni spoke harshly to her critics. She said that if anyone insulted her, she would respond in kind. Addressing suggestions that she file a lawsuit, she said she did not want to pursue legal action. Instead, she wanted to respond directly to those attacking her.

While expressing her anger during the livestream, Pori Moni also said that people's excessive interest in the video had made her consider doing a bikini, sheer clothing or nude photoshoot. However, she did not state that she had actually done any such photoshoot.

Toward the end of the livestream, the actress urged her critics to focus on their own lives. In English, she said, “Focus on your life! Get a life, honey.”
