The Shakib Khan-starrer Rockstar, one of the Eid-ul-Azha releases, is set to begin its international run ahead of all other films. Starting from 5 June, the film will be screened in 41 cinemas across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

Distributed internationally through the company ‘Swapno–Scarecrow’, Rockstar will open in 7 theatres in Canada, 30 in the United States, and 4 in the United Kingdom during its first week. In the U.S., the film will be shown in major chains including 19 AMC theatres, 7 Regal theatres, 2 Cinemark theatres, and 2 Showcase theatres. In Canada, it will be screened in 7 Cineplex locations, while in the UK it will run in 4 Cineworld cinemas.

Mohammad Waliullah Sajib, president of Swapno–Scarecrow, shared the theatre list on social media and said, “Ahead of the FIFA World Cup and during one of the most competitive periods of the Hollywood domestic market, a release in 41 theatres is a strong start for Rockstar. If audience response is positive, the number of theatres may increase next week.”

Executive producer Ajoy Kumar Kundu expressed optimism about the international release stating, “Just like our previous production Hawa, we believe Rockstar will also make an impact on the global stage.”

After its Eid-ul-Azha release in Bangladesh, Rockstar has already drawn significant audience attention. The film is produced by Anjan Chowdhury Pintu. It stars Shakib Khan, Sabila Noor, Tariq Anam Khan, Rosey Siddiqui, Dilara Zaman, Kazi Saber, Tanjia Zaman Mithila, and others.

Directed by Azman Rusho, the story is also written by him. The screenplay is written by Nusrat Islam, Ayman Asib Shadhin, and Samiul Bhuiyan. Music is composed by Jahid Nirob, while sound design is handled by Ripon Kumar Nath.
