Rashmika does not want to wear revealing outfits or show her body

Discussions and curiosity surrounding revealing outfits, bikini looks and intimate scenes have always been part of the film industry. Recently, South Indian star couple Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna spoke openly about the subject as guests on filmmaker Karan Johar's popular talk show Koffee with Karan Season 9.
On the show, Rashmika made it clear that despite the demands of commercial cinema, she is not comfortable with excessive body exposure or revealing outfits.
During the show, Rashmika said that commercial film formulas sometimes require actors to wear outfits that may not always align with their personal preferences. However, that does not mean they have to sacrifice their comfort zones.
Rashmika made her position clear, saying, “Some characters may require a bikini or body exposure, but I make it clear that I am not that kind of person. I draw certain boundaries for myself and prefer to work with directors who respect those boundaries.”
Appearing on the show with her husband Vijay, Rashmika also said that it can sometimes be quite difficult to look a director or filmmaker in the eye and say “no” on a film set.
Speaking on the issue, Vijay Deverakonda said that actors often face a peculiar form of psychological pressure after signing a film contract. Some people may question them by asking, “You are a professional actress, so what is the problem with this scene?”
According to Vijay, if an actor feels uncomfortable with a particular scene or outfit, they should have the freedom to express that discomfort in a supportive environment rather than being labeled “unprofessional.”
Rashmika also acknowledged that in such situations, she often receives emotional support and encouragement from her husband Vijay.
