Selina Jaitly received divorce papers as a 'Gift' on her wedding anniversary

Selina Jaitly, a popular Bollywood actress of the nineties, has once again stirred up the entertainment world with her personal life. In 2010, she married Austrian hotel businessman Peter Haag out of love. But that fairytale household is now nothing but a nightmare.

The actress has made a sensational allegation that on the pretext of giving her a special anniversary gift, she was taken to the post office and handed divorce papers. And today, on the first anniversary of that incident, Selina has publicly revealed her extreme plight and legal battle.

In early September 2025, Selina was told that a surprise gift was waiting for her on the occasion of her 15th wedding anniversary. But as soon as she opened the envelope of that gift, her world came crashing down, because it was a divorce notice.

After that, it was no longer possible for her to stay in Austria for even a moment. With the help of local Austrian neighbors, somehow saving her life, she returned to Mumbai on October 12 last year with only a suitcase, which contained some of her mother's memory-filled sarees and some urgent files.

Selina's life is full of many disasters. After giving birth to twin sons in 2012, she again had twins in 2017, Arthur and Shamsher. But little Shamsher died immediately after birth due to a congenital heart condition. Before she could overcome the grief of that child, marital conflict began with her husband.

Currently, her three sons Winston, Viraj, and Arthur are with their father in Austria. Selina alleges that since filing a case in court over pre-marital property rights, all contact with her three children has been cut off.

She did not even see her children while standing in front of them while visiting court in Austria. The Bollywood actress has been fighting for a year to get her children back.

Selina has faced extreme harassment in arranging the cost of the legal battle. She claims that her husband's lawyers clearly told her that if she did not have the money for the case, she should go to Austria and work as a cleaner.

Not only that, she has alleged that in addition to freezing all her bank accounts, attempts are being made to forcibly sell her own pre-marital property in India.

Currently, Selina is carrying on a multi-pronged legal battle against her husband in the Mumbai and Austrian courts, including under the Domestic Violence Act.
