Brazil’s 3–0 win over Haiti in the group stage of the FIFA World Cup brought a wave of relief not only among fans but also across Bangladesh’s entertainment industry. After a disappointing draw against Morocco in their opening match, supporters had been anxious but much of that concern has now eased as the 'yellow jersey' side returned to winning form.
Actress Jannatul Sumaiya Heme remained active on social media during the match, engaging with fans in real time. She said she has supported Brazil since childhood, long before she fully understood football.
“I’ve been a Brazil supporter since I was young. I didn’t really understand football back then, I just started supporting them,” she said. “My father and brother were Brazil fans, and I was also inspired by my uncle. It all came together. After the first match, I was worried, but this comeback gives hope. Now we just want consistent wins.”
Actress Dighi shared her excitement in a brief post, writing, “Let’s cheer loudly for Brazil.”
Director Kajal Arefin Ome offered a short reaction after the match posting, “From now on, I won’t say much.”
TV presenter Neel Hurerjahan analyzed the game, noting that Brazil had returned to their familiar rhythm and now sit at the top of their group standings.
Another presenter, Mousumi Mou, celebrated the victory wearing a Brazil jersey, visibly expressing her excitement. Singer Beauty sent congratulatory video messages to Brazil, adding that her child is also a supporter of the team.
Singer Bappa Mazumder also joined the celebration, posting on Facebook to extend his greetings to the Seleção following their win.
