Actress recalls being asked if she had AIDS at start of relationship

South Indian actress Gayathri Suresh was recently eliminated from the popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss Malayalam 8’. Just before leaving the show, however, she caused a stir online by revealing a terrible and toxic relationship experience from her past.
During a special task on Bigg Boss, Gayathri spoke about the biggest trauma of her life and revealed how she suffered severe mental abuse after becoming involved in a relationship.
Gayathri said she became involved with a young man during a much discussed controversy in 2021. It was essentially a situationship. However, the young man’s disturbing mindset became apparent in the early days of their relationship.
According to the actress, “In the first week of the relationship, he suddenly asked me if I had AIDS. I was stunned when I heard that and decided to end the relationship with him. But later I thought perhaps I was being too negative myself, so I gave him more opportunities to change.”
However, the situation became more complicated when they were involved in a road accident in October 2021. Gayathri’s friend was driving the car at the time. After their car hit another vehicle, they tried to flee without stopping. However, the people in the other vehicle chased them and eventually forced them to stop. A large crowd gathered at the scene and as the situation became heated, they called the police. A video of the incident immediately went viral on social media.
Recalling that night, Gayathri said, “The police took us to the police station. After being released from the station, he left me sitting alone at a cafe and went to meet another girlfriend. That was when I learned that while he was in a relationship with me in Thrissur, he was pretending to be in love with another woman in Ernakulam.”
Gayathri now thanks God for being able to escape the pain of that narcissistic relationship. She said, “If I meet him again today, I will only say, thank you very much for going after another woman. If he had not done that, I would have had to endure that hell for the rest of my life. That shock turned me into the mentally strong Gayathri I am today.”
Gayathri Suresh became known among audiences for her performances in popular films such as ‘Oru Mexican Aparatha’ and ‘Children’s Park’. Although her sudden exit from the Bigg Boss house disappointed her fans, her courageous confession is now a major topic of discussion.
