A full year has passed since its release. After taking the box office by storm, the Bollywood blockbuster romantic film Saiyaara has grossed more than Rs 5.80 billion worldwide.
According to the filmmakers, it is the highest grossing romantic film in the history of Indian cinema. To mark one year of its phenomenal success, the film’s lead pair, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, have unveiled a special surprise for fans.
They launched a special Collector’s Edition Vinyl LP of the film at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium.
There is a special emotional connection behind choosing Wembley Stadium for the launch. The stadium played a significant role in the film’s story.
In one of the film’s key scenes, Ahaan’s character, Krish Kapoor, recognizes Aneet’s character, Vaani, after suddenly spotting her on the stadium’s giant screen. To commemorate that memorable moment, the two celebrated the film’s first anniversary by cutting a cake at the venue.
For music lovers, the Collector’s Edition is a prized keepsake. The special package includes a two disc set. The first disc features all nine hit songs from the film. The second disc contains 16 background score tracks along with nine of the film’s most memorable dialogues.
The package also includes a beautifully designed Saiyaara Diary. It features handwritten notes from director Mohit Suri, producer Akshay Vidhani, actors Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, as well as popular music artists Vishal Mishra, Tanishk Bagchi, Mithoon, and Sachet Parampara. The package also includes two bookmarks featuring Krish and Vaani, along with a notebook designed to resemble Vaani’s notebook from the film.
Yash Raj Films CEO Akshay Vidhani said, “YRF has always been known for its romantic films. With Saiyaara, we have returned once again to that familiar romance. Director Mohit Suri has also delivered timeless music through this film.”
Director Mohit Suri echoed the sentiment, saying, “Music is the soul of any love story. Without the songs that captured the immortal love and simplicity of Krish and Vaani, the film could never have touched people’s hearts in this way. I am truly overwhelmed by the love people have shown for the film’s music.”
Yash Raj Films said the special Saiyaara Collector’s Edition Vinyl LP will soon be made available to film fans and collectors around the world.
