Kangana slams Naseeruddin Shah as a 'Fox'

The verbal feud between veteran Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah and BJP MP-actress Kangana Ranaut is nothing new, but this time it has escalated to an extreme.

Kangana was enraged by a recent sarcastic remark from Naseeruddin Shah regarding Bollywood's silence. Directly calling the veteran actor a "fox" (lomri), Kangana alleged that he lives in this country (India) while acting as an agent for neighboring nations.

Recently, Naseeruddin Shah raised questions about the silence of top Bollywood stars regarding ongoing student protests in Delhi. In an interview, he said, "Just as a dog with a bone in its mouth cannot bark, the condition of these stars is exactly the same."

Following Naseeruddin Shah's comment, Kangana Ranaut delivered a fiery response. Expressing her anger on her Instagram story, Kangana wrote, "To be honest, we are all like someone's pet dog. But I am proud to think that I fight for the protection of the country whose bread I eat. On the other hand, Naseer Sahib eats of this country, but fights for the interests of neighbor nations!"

Kangana did not stop there. Addressing the comparison to dogs, she added, "Calling someone a 'dog' nowadays is not an insult, but rather a huge compliment! Because loyalty and faithfulness are extremely rare today. I would rather be a dog—a symbol of loyalty—than a deceitful fox like Naseeruddin."

A few days ago, in an interview with The Wire, veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah spoke about Bollywood's silence on the Delhi protests, saying, "Stars will only speak up when it is convenient for them. There is a saying—a dog cannot bark when it has a meaty bone in its mouth. The day that bone of convenience falls from their mouth or their teeth break, they will surely shout."

In addition to questioning why Naseeruddin remains silent on the situation in Jharkhand, Kangana heavily criticized the veteran actor's attitude as extremely one-sided. This virtual clash between the two stars has sparked intense buzz in Bollywood.
