Rhea spent her entire salary on plastic surgery

Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty has always been known for her bold statements and outspoken nature. Before stepping into acting, she entered the entertainment industry at just 17 years of age, starting her journey as a Video Jockey (VJ) for the popular channel MTV.
Recently, during an appearance on comedian Tanmay Bhat's YouTube show, the actress made a surprising revelation about her early income and personal life.
Rhea said that at the age of 17 or 18, she earned a monthly salary of around 3 lakh rupees, which was a massive amount of money for a teenager at that time.
When asked during the interview about the first Bollywood superstar she interviewed as a VJ, Rhea laughed and replied, "When I joined MTV as a new VJ, my very first assignment was to interview Salman Khan! Everyone on set easily handed that interview over to me. At first, I thought people were being kind to me, but later I realized everyone was actually terrified of facing Salman Bhai!"
Reflecting on her earnings back then, Rhea mentioned that VJs were paid quite handsomely. Earning around three lakh taka, she felt extremely wealthy. However, she blew her entire income on facial enhancement procedures, specifically plastic surgery.
At one point in the conversation, when host Tanmay Bhat jokingly mentioned fixing his own face, Rhea joined in with a laugh, saying, "Beauty technology has advanced so much nowadays that anyone should give it a try!"
After a long hiatus, Rhea Chakraborty is returning to screen with a major OTT project. She will be seen in Karan Johar's mind-game reality show The Traitors Season 2, which streams on the OTT platform Prime Video starting August 13.
Alongside Rhea, the show features stars such as Mallika Sherawat, Munawar Faruqui, Shweta Tiwari, Abhishek Malhan, and Parul Gulati.
