Band About Dark is releasing a new song promoting freedom of expression, human rights and individual freedom. Titled “Nirakar,” the song will be released today on the band’s official YouTube channel.
Through the song, the band seeks to protest the silencing of people’s voices, the restriction of freedom of thought and the loss of individual identity. The song’s concept presents “Nirakar” not only as a symbol of frustration or failure but also as an expression of the desire to reclaim one’s existence, freedom of expression and liberty.
When people hesitate to speak the truth out of fear or social pressure, their silence and identity crisis become more pronounced. About Dark wants to encourage listeners to reflect on their freedom and rights by confronting them with this reality.
The band began its journey in 2016. It has previously released songs titled “Kon Mohe” in 2018, “Tumi” in 2019, “Kalo Manush” in 2019 and “Line” in 2025. About Dark became a member of the Bangladesh Musical Bands Association (BAMBA) in 2021.
The band’s current lineup consists of Moon on vocals, Nasir Ullah Chutti and Arfan Ahmed Purno on guitars, Adnan Ahmed Feroz on bass and Zakir on drums.
The band has no immediate plans to release a full-length album. Instead, its members are interested in performing their songs for audiences at various venues. They also plan to participate in stage shows regularly in the coming days.
