Radhika Apte stayed home for four days after intimate scene was leaked

Radhika Apte is a prominent Bollywood actress known for her bold performances and unconventional roles. The star who is currently in the spotlight for her work in ‘Lust Stories 3’ recently shared memories of an extremely frightening and painful experience in her life.

The actress stayed inside her home for four consecutive days fearing for her safety after an intimate scene from a film was leaked online without authorization. The situation became so serious that she had to speak with her driver and spotboy to ensure her safety.

Speaking about her experience of filming intimate scenes on set Radhika said an actor’s fear does not end when the camera stops rolling. She described through her own experience how life can come to a standstill when such scenes are unlawfully circulated online.

Radhika said, “After the scene was leaked, I was too scared to step outside my home for four days. I always felt that someone would ring the doorbell and come to attack me. My stylist told me that her driver kept watching the video and saying, ‘Are you going to her house?’ Even the watchman of my building had seen the video.”

At the time Radhika was living alone in her Mumbai apartment. Fearing for her safety and feeling vulnerable while alone she eventually called the people closest to her on her team and spoke with them.

Recalling the incident Radhika said, “I called my driver and spot dada and said, ‘A video has been leaked. Have you seen it? If you haven’t seen it I am sending it to you. Watch it. If after watching it you feel that you can work with me and protect me then stay. Otherwise here is your salary and you can leave.’ Fortunately, both of them said, ‘Madam, we will take care of you.’”

Radhika also revealed another secret during the interview. Due to the political situation at the time, she withdrew from a dream project so that her family would not be put at risk.

She later said she felt “ashamed” of herself for giving in to that fear.

Radhika is currently leading a happy personal life. In December 2024 she and her British musician husband Benedict Taylor welcomed their first daughter.
