A July concert titled ‘Songs of the Monsoon Revolution’ was organized at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital to mark the Victory Day of the July Mass Uprising. Parsa, Sezan, Kureghor, Arbovirus, AvoidRafa, Asif Akbar, Shironamhin, Ark (Hasan), and Artcell performed at the event.
During the event, a water bottle was thrown at Hasan while he was performing. The incident was confirmed through a video circulating on social media and Facebook posts by several people associated with the music industry.
The video circulating on social media shows Hasan singing after coming to the front of the stage. At that time, someone threw a water bottle at him. The bottle directly hit Hasan in the face. The water from the bottle spread over Hasan’s body and the stage.
Composer Prince Mahmud expressed anger over the incident. He called for the accused person to be identified. The popular composer wrote on Facebook, “Yesterday, when artist Hasan was performing with his band on stage, some people threw bottles at him. Why? A group of people in the front were shouting ‘fake, fake.’ Who were they? What was their purpose in being at the event?”
Calling for the people involved to be identified, Prince Mahmud said, “Mark each of them. Ensuring the highest level of security for an artist performing on stage is a key requirement of any successful event or program. Did the organizers properly fulfill this responsibility?”
