Don’s Arrest: What does actress Munmun thinks about it?

Following the arrest of actor Don in connection with the death of iconic film star Salman Shah, the long-standing case has drawn renewed public attention. Joining the conversation, actress Munmun shared her reaction on social media, reflecting on her admiration for Salman Shah as a fan and recalling her experiences working with Don.

Munmun said, "Yesterday, a younger brother of mine called me from Germany and asked, 'Why are you all staying silent?' What should I say? What should I write? I am honestly at a loss for words."

Although she never had the opportunity to share the screen with Salman Shah, Munmun highlighted her working relationship and personal interactions with Ashraful Haque Don, who was a frequent co-star of the late actor. "I was a huge fan of Salman bhai and liked him immensely, though I was never fortunate enough to work with him. However, I have seen Don bhai up close many times and worked with him on several projects."

Recalling Don's demeanor and talents, Munmun added, "A polite, good-natured person like Don bhai—who could play the flute beautifully, sing so well, and act brilliantly—how could a man like that do something to his own friend...? It is unimaginable."

She also pointed out the professional bond between Salman Shah and Don. "Don bhai used to get work through Salman bhai. Whenever Salman bhai acted in a film, he would personally request the director to cast Don bhai. On top of that, their onscreen pairing was one of the most popular of that era."

She continued, "How could Don bhai do something to the very friend who helped him get work? I just can't wrap my head around it."

However, Munmun urged the public to refrain from making derogatory remarks about anyone before the ultimate truth—whether Salman Shah’s death was a murder or a suicide—is formally established.

Expressing her respect for the legal system, she said, "Whether Salman bhai committed suicide or was murdered remains unknown to us. Therefore, let us refrain from making malicious comments prematurely."

Hoping that the investigation will uncover the truth, Munmun concluded, "May the absolute truth come to light. I only hope that no innocent person is framed in a false case, nor that the truth remains buried."

Offering prayers for the late star, she added, "My only prayer to Almighty Allah is that this case gets resolved swiftly, so that Salman bhai's soul may finally rest in peace. Amin."
