Mobile court seizes 120 bags of fertilizer in Naogaon

A mobile court seized 120 bags of DAP fertilizer while it was being smuggled from Naogaon on Tuesday night.  

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Nurul Amin conducted the drive in Dubalhati Union, Sadar Upazila. He said around 9 pm, unknown individuals were illegally transporting 120 bags of DAP fertilizer using two nasimons. At that time, locals stopped the two vehicles on the road and informed the administration.

The government price of the DAP complex fertilizers is Tk 1,26,000. The seized fertilizers have been kept at the local Dubalhati Union Parishad. Nurul added that under the supervision of the Agriculture Department, the fertilizer will be sold among local farmers at government-fixed prices.

The proceeds from the sale will be deposited into the government treasury. Officials from the police and the Agriculture Department were present during the drive.
