BGB foils BSF attempt to push 5 in Meherpur

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) foiled an attempt by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) to push five individuals into Gangni, Meherpur.
BGB 47 Commander Lt Col Rashed Kamal Rony confirmed the matter. The incident occurred around 4 am on Friday at the Dhola border of Gangni.
According to local residents, the five individuals the BSF attempted to push across are still near the border’s barbed-wire fence. BGB and locals remain on high alert.
Rony said BSF’s Buripota camp attempted to illegally send four men and one woman into the country. However, they were forced to retreat and the push-in attempt failed
