First meeting of MCJ club limited held

MCJ Club Limited, a newly established social club, has commenced its activities with the first meeting of its Board of Directors, held at a restaurant in the capital on Friday evening. The club has already completed its registration process and other necessary formalities.
The meeting was chaired by MCJ Club Limited President Hasnain Khurshed and conducted by General Secretary Rakib Hasnet Suman, said a press release.
Among the directors who attended the meeting were Elias Khan, Sharmeen Rimvy, Sharmin Akhter, Ahmed Sagor, Muhammad Zahidul Islam Sajal, Mohiuddin Niloy, and Shakil Hasan.
The other directors of the 13-member Board of Directors are Zahid Newaz Khan Jewel, Sayadul Islam, Nurul Karim Bhuiyan, and Shahed Alam.
Former students of Mass Communication and Journalism, Media Studies, Communication, Broadcast, Television, and related departments of any recognised university in Bangladesh will be eligible to become members of the club, subject to meeting the prescribed criteria.
According to decisions taken by the club’s management committee, general membership will be offered to eligible applicants from among those interested at the earliest possible time.
Recently, the club completed its registration process with the Office of the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC). With this registration, MCJ Club Limited has officially embarked on its journey as a registered organisation.
At Friday’s meeting, several important decisions were taken, including the allocation of responsibilities among the directors of the executive committee, finalisation of policies for general membership and allocation of special membership numbers, and the formation of several important subcommittees to run the club with pride and prestige.
The Board of Directors said that, in the days ahead, the club will undertake various initiatives to strengthen networking between its members and the corporate sector, while also arranging a range of recreational and social activities for its members and their families.
