Fakhrul visits Hazrat Shahjalal shrine in Sylhet

President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir visited the shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal (R) in Sylhet, reaching the shrine premises around 12:30 PM on Tuesday.  

Shrine authorities welcomed Fakhrul as he arrived in the shrine area. He then offered prayers at the shrine. Numerous citizens lined both sides of the road to greet him, while leaders and activists of Sylhet Metropolitan BNP also welcomed him at various key points across the city.

Earlier at 11:27 am, the aircraft carrying Fakhrul landed at Sylhet Osmani International Airport, arriving around 12 minutes behind schedule. Commerce Minister Khandakar Abdul Muktadir and Expatriates’ Welfare Minister Ariful Haque Choudhury welcomed him at the airport.

Sylhet MPs, District BNP President and Sylhet City Corporation Administrator Abdul Quiyum Choudhury, General Secretary and MP Emran Ahmad Chowdhury, Metropolitan BNP President Nasim Hossain, and General Secretary Emdad Hossain Chowdhury were also present on the occasion.
