A section of people wants anarchy in the country. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has alleged that they have re-established contact with the forces who were ousted after August 5th. According to him, some people want to hinder development by blocking roads.
He made these remarks at a rally on Saturday afternoon following the inauguration of the re-excavation work of the 'Dharar Canal' in Trishal, Mymensingh.
The BNP's goal was to excavate canals if they formed the government. "I had said that if elected, we would hand out family cards to our mothers. We have provided that," the Prime Minister added.
Earlier, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman inaugurated the re-excavation work of the 'Dharar Canal' in Trishal. He initiated the work by cutting the soil himself around 2:30 PM.
Tarique Rahman's father, the martyred President Ziaur Rahman, had excavated the 'Dharar Canal' 47 years ago.
