Chhatra League attacks police vehicle in Gopalganj, 2 policemen injured

An attack and vandalism on a police vehicle occurred in Raghunathpur of Gopalganj Sadar centering on blocking a procession by the banned .
Two police members were injured by stick blows from the attackers during the incident.
The incident took place around 3 PM today, Saturday, in the Burimar Gachhtala area of Raghunathpur in the upazila.
According to police sources, leaders and activists of the banned Chhatra League and Jubo League brought out a procession in support of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. It was when a police patrol arrived at the scene to disperse the procession which made the processioners agitated. At one stage, they attacked the police vehicle with sticks and broke the glass of the vehicle. Two police members were injured by their stick blows during the incident.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Aminul Islam of Gopalganj Sadar Police Station confirmed the news. He said, "Police are conducting operations to arrest the attackers. Detailed information about the incident cannot be given at this moment."
