Rashed Khan, former general secretary of Gono Odhikar Parishad and a recent BNP entrant, made remarks about NCP chief organizer Nasiruddin Patwary.
He commented on Patwary’s action during a press conference held at his office on Thana Road in Kaliganj town of Jhenaidah at around 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
He alleged that Nasiruddin Patwary is misleading the young generation and is using language that goes beyond political etiquette.
He said Nasiruddin Patwary is ‘polluting the country’s politics’ and damaging the political environment through indecent remarks.
Rashed Khan also claimed that during a recent visit to Jhenaidah, Nasiruddin Patwary brought armed cadres with him. He also said that no member of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal attacked him.
At the same time, Rashed Khan invited Nasiruddin Patwary to visit Jhenaidah again and said he would ensure his security.
During the press conference, Rashed Khan also criticized Jamaat-e-Islami. He said the party would never come to power in the country and said that it had acted as an anti-independence force.
He claimed that Jamaat has always supported undemocratic and authoritarian governments.
He further said that Jamaat and the NCP have started a conspiracy, which the people of the country will not accept.
Former Kaliganj Upazila BNP joint convener Tobibur Rahman Mini, BNP leader Shamsul Islam, former central Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal joint general secretary Zahir Hasan Mohon, and other local leaders were present at the event.
