Multiple notes recovered from MP Nazrul's flat

One note reads, "Love is not a matter to be shared." Another says, "I have lost, you have won." Yet another reads, "I bow before you again and again because I am caught in affection." Some of the notes are on plain white paper, while others are on pad paper bearing the seal of the National Parliament—these pages are filled with the tensions and turmoil of a complicated relationship.
This is the story of multiple notes found by police last night (Sunday) from the flat of Member of Parliament G.M. Nazrul Islam.
On one note, written in black ink on official National Parliament pad, are the words: "I entered the battle with immense trust in him, but I could not win—I lost on the battlefield. How could I win, when at the final end of the battle I found that you were the commander of the opposing team?"

On another plain sheet, written about the social legitimacy and limitations of a relationship: "He was another woman's husband—on paper, his wife had the right to him. And I was a fool... I turned another woman's husband into my own cherished man! Rather than having someone half, it is more honorable to lose them entirely. Because love is never a matter to be shared—love is either complete, or it is incomplete!"
On another page, alleging breach of trust, it is written: "He said—from today we are friends, let's play a game. I, in my simplicity, believed him and agreed. But who knew—I was merely a chess piece in your game."
On another page written on Parliament pad, anger and a warning are also expressed. The note reads: "I have lost, you have won. Because I trusted you, that is why you could deceive me and win. Just watch—the very reason for this laughter will become the reason for your destruction."
In a short note written in red ink, self-respect is mentioned. The note reads: "I bow before you again and again only because I am caught in affection… otherwise, I am not as cheap as you think I am!"
Alongside these writings of emotion and anger, a note related to religious practices was also found. It contains a list of six religious practices and prayers to be recited before sleeping. It mentions the Kalema, various duas, Ayatul Kursi, and a specific number of Darud Sharif and Istighfar.
An officer of Tejgaon Thana police told Agaamir Somoy that police have found the notes. They will now be examined by the CID forensic team to determine whether they were written by Mariam.

Last evening (Sunday), the hanging body of Mariam Khatun, the second wife of Gazi Nazrul Islam, Member of Parliament (MP) for Satkhira-4 constituency, was recovered from a flat in Building No. 5 of the Nam Bhaban in the capital.
At that time, police recovered the notes from Mariam's bed. The flat belongs to Gazi Nazrul. He used to live in this flat with his first and second wives.
Meanwhile, a case has been filed alleging incitement to suicide in connection with the recovery of the hanging body of Mariam Khatun, the second wife of MP Gazi Nazrul Islam. Last night (Sunday) around midnight, Mariam's father, Masum Billah, filed the case with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Thana in the capital as the plaintiff. The case names Gazi Nazrul Islam, his first wife Maksuda Islam, and Nazrul's brother-in-law Obaidur Rahman as accused.
