PM Inaugurates Feni 'Muhua-Kuhua' irrigation project

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has inaugurated the "Muhuri-Kuhua Flood Control, Drainage and Irrigation Project Rehabilitation (1st Phase)" project constructed at a cost of Tk 1,542.16 crore. The project aims at efficient flood control, drainage, and irrigation facilities in Feni district.
He unveiled the plaque of the project around 2:30 pm today, Thursday, at the Kheyaghat Muhuri Bridge area of Parshuram in Feni district.
After unveiling the plaque, he planted a tree there. He then inaugurated the river excavation program.
Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Sujan Mahmud shared this information with the media.
When the Prime Minister arrived at the event venue by road from Dhaka, BNP lawmaker for Feni-1 constituency Rafiqul Alam Maznu welcomed him.
At the time, Feni-2 constituency lawmaker VP Zainal Abedin, Feni-3 constituency lawmaker and Environment Minister Abdul Awal Mintoo, Water Resources Minister Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee, State Minister Farhad Hossain Azad, Housing Minister Zakaria Taher, State Minister for Social Welfare Farzana Sharmin, women's reserved seat lawmaker Rehana Akter Ranu, and district leaders were present.
