2 dead in Feni truck collision

Two people died and eight others injured when a truck struck another truck at the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Feni Sadar Upazila.
Feni Model Police Station OC (Investigation) Sajal Kanti Das confirmed the matter. The accident occurred on Wednesday night. One of the deceased has been identified as a pedestrian named Jahangir Alam, while the identity of the other victim is not confirmed.
Police said around 3am, a truck carrying gas cylinders was parked in the Khaiyara area of the highway to undergo repairs after a tire punctured.
Suddenly, another truck heading lost control and crashed into the truck. The impact caused the gas cylinders to be thrown out onto the road, resulting in several injuries.
Locals and police rescued the injured and transported them to Feni General Hospital, where two people then died.
Feni General Hospital Resident Medical Officer Rokonuddoula said the rest have been sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
OC Sajal added that police have seized the trucks.
