Fire at Secretariat building no. 6

A fire incident occurred seemingly due to a short circuit at Bangladesh Secretariat's Building No. 6. However, the fire was brought under control before the Fire Service unit reached the scene.

The Fire Service was dispatched of the news about the fire around 6:45 pm on Tuesday. Fire Service duty officer Rozina Akter confirmed this information.

She said that upon receiving the news of a fire in the ceiling of a bathroom on the second floor of Secretariat Building No. 6, a Fire Service unit quickly headed to the scene. However, the fire was brought under control before the unit arrived.

She also said that primarily it is believed that the fire originated from an electric short circuit.
