'Joy Bangla' written on a bomb-like object

Police recovered a bomb-like object from outside of a fish landing center namely, Raisar Beel fish landing center in Damurhuda Upazila of Chuadanga. The object, wrapped in red tape, had the words "Joy Bangla" written on it.
According to police, locals spotted the suspicious object beside the landing center's gate around 10:00 AM on Wednesday (June 24) and informed members of the fish landing committee. Upon receiving the information, Darshana Police Station personnel arrived at the scene and recovered the object.
The incident has caused anxiety and concern among local residents. Abdur Rashid, president of the Kurulgachhi union BNP, stated that the recovered bomb-like object had "Joy Bangla" written on it. He alleged that it could be part of a sabotage plan by supporters of the Awami League, whose activities he claimed are banned.
Darshana Police Station Officer-in-Charge Nazrul Islam said, "Upon receiving the information, we went to the scene and recovered a bomb-like object. The matter is being investigated seriously, and necessary measures will be taken after the investigation is complete."
