SRB Operation: Impoverised, petrol bombs at fair ground of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar

The Special Response Battalion (SRB) have surrounded the former Trade Fair ground behind Ganabhaban in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka. Security has been tightened after a large number of cocktails and petrol bombs were recovered there. A bomb disposal unit has been working since evening.
This afternoon (Monday), SRB conducted an operation at the former Trade Fair ground based on a tip-off. So far, more than 20 cocktails and petrol bombs have been found in the operation.
Additional DIG Naimul Hasan, Commander of SRB-2, confirmed the matter. He said that these explosives were recovered during an operation at the former Trade Fair ground. The bomb disposal unit has been called to defuse the recovered explosives.
Members of law enforcement agencies present at the scene have surrounded the entire area. Movement of the general public is also being controlled for security reasons.
It could not be immediately known how the explosives came there and who are involved with them. Sources concerned have said that detailed information on the matter may be known thropugh investigation. The priority is now recovering and defusing of the explosives.
