On one side, the arrival of a new life; on the other, the wailing of an eternal farewell. The child around whom a couple had a thousand dreams—came into the world just after 15 minutes his father had died.

The unfortunate father is Habibur Rahman who passed away at a Dhaka hospital on Tuesday.
The birth of the baby did take place on Tuesday, in Ulashi Union of Sharsha Upazila in Jessore and it touched the hearts of relatives and local residents.
Habibur Rahman was the son of Hazrat Ali of Ulashi Union. He married Mimi about two years ago. A new guest was coming to their small family. The expected date of the child's birth was 15 days later. How many plans, how many dreams the husband and wife had around the unborn child! They had even deposited 35,000 taka in the bank to treat relatives, neighbors, and villagers joyfully after the child's birth. But who knew that this preparation for joy would one day sink into such sorrow!

According to family members, about a week ago, Habibur suddenly fell ill in the early morning. On the doctor's advice, he was first taken to Bagachra Hospital and later to Jessore Hospital. As his condition did not improve, he was taken to Dhaka for better treatment. There, despite fighting against death, he could not ultimately be saved.

The most heartbreaking event happened after that. Amid the grief of her husband's death and the wait to bring her unborn child into the world, Mimi was taken to Bagachra Hospital. Fifteen minutes after her husband's death, she gave birth to a son there. The child with whom Habibur was supposed to float in joy, holding in his arms, came into the world just after the father's eternal departure. On one side, the newborn's cry; on the other, the relatives' lamentation.

The 35,000 taka saved to feed relatives after the child's birth seemed to remain unfulfilled. The room where preparations for joy were supposed to be underway to welcome the new guest—into that very room came the father's lifeless body. Habibur's father led his son's funeral prayer. Thousands of people took part in the funeral. Later, he was buried in the family graveyard, according to relatives.
