Professor Israfil Appointed as New Proctor of DU

Professor Israfil Prang of the Faculty of Fine Arts has been appointed as the Acting Proctor of University of Dhaka (DU).

The information was confirmed via a notification signed by the Du registrar Munshi Shams Uddin Ahmed, on Sunday.

Professor Israfil has been serving as an Assistant Proctor of the Faculty of Fine Arts and is currently a professor in the Department of Graphic Design.

Earlier today, at around 2:00 pm, Saifuddin Ahmed resigned from the post. He submitted his resignation letter to the Vice-Chancellor of the university, A B M Obaidul Islam.

Explaining the reason for his resignation, Professor Saifuddin Ahmed said, “I am resigning for personal reasons, not due to any pressure.”
