To avoid the risk of vehicle vandalism and damage under the current circumstances, the Bangladesh Road Transport Owners' Association has urged transport owners not to park vehicles on both sides of the roads.

On Saturday (September 19), Md. Saiful Alam, Secretary General of the association, issued this directive in a press release sent to the media.

The statement said that after operations, all types of vehicles must be parked safely in designated depots, garages, or terminals. Under no circumstances should vehicles be parked on the roadside, or in unsafe and deserted places.

It further said that owners and workers must exercise maximum caution to ensure the safety of all passengers and goods-carrying vehicles operating in Dhaka and across the country.

Today, Saturday, at 7:12 PM, a report was received of a bus belonging to 'Shikhar Paribahan' being set on fire in Mirpur-11, Dhaka. Reports from various sources also indicate that miscreants set fire to several other buses in different parts of the capital.

Earlier, around 9:30 PM on Friday, another passenger bus was set on fire in front of Kafrul Police Station in the capital.
