Fresh LPG Gas has marked World LPG Day 2026 by reaffirming its commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and clean energy to people across Bangladesh.
To observe the day, Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) organized a tree plantation program at its head office on Sunday. MGI Director Tanveer Mustafa inaugurated the program.
Speaking at the event, the MGI director highlighted the importance of clean energy in environmental protection. He said World LPG Day serves as a reminder of the vital role clean energy plays in improving quality of life and protecting the environment. He added that as a responsible organization, Fresh LPG Gas continues to expand the use of safe and reliable LPG while undertaking various initiatives to build a green and sustainable future.
A member of the World Liquid Gas Association, Fresh LPG Gas, an MGI concern, currently serves millions of customers through around 5 million cylinders across the country.
On the occasion, the company has launched a nationwide tree plantation campaign. Under the initiative, plantation activities are being carried out at company offices, four LPG plants, and through more than 250 distributors. Distributors are planting trees around business premises, while public participation is being encouraged through online campaigns.
The company has also urged people to plant trees on balconies, rooftops, or any suitable space and share photos or videos on Fresh LPG Gas’s social media platforms. Selected participants will receive special gifts.
The event was also attended by Fresh LPG Chief Marketing Officer Abu Sayeed Raja; MGI Chief Human Resources Officer Atik Uz Zaman Khan; Executive Director (Admin) Syed Toufique Uddin Ahmed (PPM, NDC); Senior General Manager (Audit) Sajjad Hossain (FCMA); and Senior Deputy General Manager (HR) Md.
