Instruction to implement new pay scale in state-owned banks and autonomous institutions

An initiative has been undertaken to implement the National Pay Scale 2026 in state-owned banks and autonomous institutions. To this end, the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance has issued instructions to take the necessary measures by forwarding copies of the new pay scale gazette to the relevant organizations. A memo regarding this matter was issued yesterday, Wednesday, by the Administration Branch of the Financial Institutions Division.
The letter forwarded copies of the gazette issued by the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance under the National Pay Scale 2026 for autonomous (public bodies) and state-owned institutions to facilitate further necessary action.
According to the letter, the Finance Division issued the gazette for autonomous (public bodies) and state-owned organizations under the National Pay Scale 2026 on September 17. Copies of that gazette have been sent to the respective institutions to execute the subsequent necessary steps.
Signed by Sharmin Sultana, Deputy Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division, the letter was dispatched to nine entities, including six state-owned banks.
The state-owned banks include Sonali Bank, Janata Bank, Agrani Bank, Rupali Bank, BASIC Bank, and Bangladesh Development Bank PLC. Copies of the gazette were delivered to the managing directors and chief executive officers of these banks.
Additionally, copies of the gazette were sent to the Managing Director of The Security Printing Corporation (Bangladesh) Limited and the Director of the Bangladesh Insurance Academy.
The letter noted that two copies of the National Pay Scale 2026 gazette were attached.
Administrative actions to implement the new pay structure for autonomous (public bodies) and state-owned institutions are moving forward based on the SRO issued by the Finance Division on September 17. The relevant institutions will now proceed with the required measures in accordance with the gazette.
