Chevron Bangladesh's new president Shu Xiong

Shu Xiong has been appointed as President and Managing Director of Chevron Bangladesh. He succeeds Eric M. Walker, who has led Chevron Bangladesh for the past six years.
Shu Xiong assumed his responsibilities today, Saturday. Previously, he served as the Managing Director of Chevron China.
Sheikh Zahidur Rahman, Media and Communications Manager of Chevron Bangladesh, said that since joining Chevron in 2007, Shu Shiyong has held key senior leadership roles across various areas, including strategy formulation, forecasting, trading, operations, and planning. He has played a vital role in providing strategic advice to top leadership, assisting in investment decisions, developing new commercial opportunities, and managing relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
Shu Xiong holds an MBA from Stanford University, USA, and a BBA in Finance from the University of Houston, USA.
Regarding his appointment, Shu Xiong said, "I am extremely excited to join Chevron Bangladesh. I look forward to further advancing the legacy of Chevron's partnership with the Government of Bangladesh and Petrobangla, which spans over three decades."
She further said, "I am committed to helping meet the country's current and future energy needs and strengthening this relationship further, while ensuring long-term benefits for local communities through our investments in education, healthcare, and economic development programs. I am delighted to call Bangladesh our new home."
Chevron Bangladesh Block Twelve Limited and Chevron Bangladesh Blocks Thirteen and Fourteen Limited (collectively, Chevron Bangladesh) is the country's largest natural gas producer.
The company supplies approximately 60% of Bangladesh's total domestic natural gas production and over 83% of domestic condensate production. Chevron Bangladesh operates three gas fields located in the north-eastern region of the country. Additionally, the organization works to build long-term partnerships with local communities across its operational areas, contributing to sustainable economic development and lasting social benefits.
