BAJUS decreases gold prices, 22-carat Tk 2.34 lakh per bhori

Gold prices have decreased by Tk 2,158 and the price of 22-carat gold is Tk 2,34,621 per bhori (11.664 grams).
Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced the new price through a press release on Friday.
The price of 21-carat gold is now Tk 2,24,065 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk 1,92,398, and traditional method gold at Tk 1,57,172.
BAJUS said the adjustment was made in line with overall market conditions following a fall in the local price of tejabi gold, or pure gold.
The notice added that wages are determined based on the ornament’s design. As VAT is already included in the selling price of gold and silver jewelry, it cannot be charged separately to customers.
BAJUS’s existing rules will continue to apply for ornament exchange and purchase, excluding specific VAT, labor charges, and stones.
Meanwhile, silver prices remain unchanged and 22‑carat silver is selling at Tk 5,074 per bhori, 21‑carat at Tk 4,841, 18‑carat at Tk 4,199, and traditional silver at Tk 3,149.
