NSI’s Mosharraf Hossain Appointed CID Chief

Barrister Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, director (DIG) of the National Security Intelligence (NSI), has been promoted and appointed as the chief of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The government has also carried out a major reshuffle in the police administration, transferring and posting 21 senior BCS (Police) cadre officers.
The order was issued on Sunday in a notification from the Police-1 Branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
According to the notification, DIG Md. Mushfiqur Rahman has been promoted to additional inspector general (Additional IGP) and posted to Police Headquarters. NSI Director (DIG) Barrister Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain has been promoted and appointed Additional IGP of the CID. DIG Md. Moniruzzaman has been made Additional IGP of Police Telecom, while RAB Additional Director General (DIG) Faruk Ahmed has been promoted and posted as Additional IGP of Highway Police.
At the DIG level, Proloy Chisim has been posted to PTC Noakhali, Mia Masud Karim to the APBn FDMN office, Mohammad Osman Gani to PTC Rangpur, and AFM Mosharraf Hossain Miaji to PTC Khulna.
At the additional DIG level, Moha. Asaduzzaman has been transferred to RAB, AKM Akhtaruzzaman and Md. Kutub Uddin to Police Headquarters, Md. Al Mamun as commander of the 2nd APBn, Sarkar Mohammad Qaiser to PSTS Betbunia, and Mohammad Mohibul Islam Khan to Bangladesh Police Academy (BPA) in Sardah.
In addition, Additional DIG Md. Abdul Warish has been posted to PTC Rangpur, while Mohammad Rashidul Islam Khan has been attached to the office of the DIG of Barishal Range.
At the superintendent of police level, Kazi Ehsanul Kabir has been attached to Police Headquarters, Md. Zahidur Rahman to BPA Sardah, Salma Syed Poly to the office of the DIG of Rangpur Range, and Md. Shahidul Islam and Md. Kamruzzaman to the office of the DIG of Barishal Range.
