A passenger bus fell into the river at Daulatdia’s 7th ferry terminal in Goalanda upazila of Rajbari.

The incident occurred on Friday morning. Goalanda Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sathi Das confirmed the matter.

The UNO said that the bus driver, helper, and supervisor were rescued and sent to hospital. At the time of the accident, there were no passengers on the bus, as they had already gotten off earlier.

Earlier, on 25 March, a passenger bus of Showhardo Paribahan traveling from Kumarkhali in Kushtia to Dhaka lost control while boarding a ferry from pontoon 3 at Daulatdia ferry terminal and fell into the river.

In that incident, a total of 26 bodies were recovered.
