Storms with 60 km/h winds hit 13 regions

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said rain may continue until noon and storms with speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour could hit 13 regions across the country by midday.
According to the weather forecast for internal river ports valid from 5 am to 1 pm on Tuesday, temporary gusty winds, rain, or thunder showers with speeds ranging from 45 to 60 kilometers per hour from the south or south-east are expected over the regions of Rangpur, Dinajpur, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, and Sylhet.
River ports in these areas have been advised to hoist cautionary signal number 1.
The weather forecast for the six-hour period starting at 7 am added that the sky may remain partly cloudy to temporarily cloudy. Temporary rain or thunder showers are possible, with winds blowing from the south or south-east at speeds of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour. The daytime temperature is expected to decrease slightly.
At 6 am, the temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 28.1 degrees Celsius, with humidity at 92 percent. The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.7 degrees Celsius. Over the last 24 hours, Dhaka received 27 millimeters of rainfall.
