Storms to hit Dhaka, 12 regions

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said storms may hit in 13 regions of the country by the afternoon and thunderstorms are likely in Dhaka before noon.
BMD confirmed the matter on Tuesday and added that daytime temperatures across the country could decrease by 1-2 degrees Celsius.
According to the weather forecast issued for inland river ports from 5 am to 1 pm, rain or thunderstorms with temporary gusty or squally winds at 45-60 kilometers per hour from the south or southeast may pass over regions including Rajshahi, Pabna, Dhaka, Faridpur, Jashore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, and Cox’s Bazar.
River ports in these areas have been advised to hoist cautionary signal number 1.
Meanwhile, another weather forecast for the six hours following 7:00 am said the sky may be partly cloudy to temporarily cloudy. Rain or thunderstorms are possible. Winds may blow from the south or southwest at 10-20 kilometers per hour. Daytime temperature might remain largely unchanged.
At 6 am, the temperature in Dhaka was 28 degrees Celsius, with 90 percent humidity and the minimum temperature is 27.8 degrees Celsius.
