Foreign affairs State Minister meets outgoing Chinese ambassador

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen met with Foreign Affairs State Minister Humayun Kabir for a farewell meeting.
The meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.
During the meeting, Foreign Affairs State Minister Humayun Kabir praised Ambassador Yao Wen’s role in strengthening Bangladesh China relations.
Humayun Kabir said that during Ambassador Yao Wen’s tenure, relations between Bangladesh and China had been elevated to the level of a “shared community.”
The state minister also mentioned that a 2+2 mechanism at the state ministerial level is going to be launched.
Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen described his three years and nine months in Bangladesh as a period of great honor.
He also congratulated Bangladesh’s Foreign Affairs Minister on being elected president of the United Nations General Assembly.
Yao Wen pledged that China would continue its support for Bangladesh’s development journey.
He said that the minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China is interested in visiting Bangladesh later this year.
During the meeting, Foreign Affairs State Minister Humayun Kabir wished outgoing Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen success in his future life.
