Independent political figure Tasnim Jara has dismissed claims that she engaged in any political compromise or discussion with the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), calling the allegations “completely false” and “imaginative.”
In a post on her verified Facebook page on Monday, she responded to the circulating claims.
In the post, Tasnim Jara wrote: “A false claim is being spread that negotiations between Tasnim Jara and BNP have already taken place. It is also being claimed that Jara operates through channels with BNP and has received a green signal from BNP.”
She said that these claims have no basis. According to her, “These allegations are completely imaginary and false. I have never held any such discussions with BNP or any other political party.”
Addressing those spreading the rumors, Tasnim Jara questioned that if such discussions had actually taken place, when, where, and with whom they occurred, and that specific evidence should be presented. She wrote: “Ask those spreading these lies: when, where, and with whom did this ‘negotiation’ take place? They will not be able to provide any name, date, or proof—because nothing like this has ever happened.”
She further alleged that the misinformation is being deliberately spread to construct a particular political narrative. She believes these claims, disconnected from reality, are attempts to mislead the public.
In the closing part of her post, she wrote: “The purpose of spreading these lies is to build a narrative for personal advantage. How long will politics of falsehood continue?”
Amid ongoing discussions on social media about Tasnim Jara’s political stance and possible ties with various parties, her statement has once again sparked public debate.
