Prime Minister personally drives around Dhaka to inspect cleanliness

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman personally drove around areas under the Dhaka North City Corporation on the weekly holiday to inspect the capital’s cleanliness. During the inspection, he identified various civic problems and expressed dissatisfaction over several issues, directing officials to take prompt and effective measures to resolve them. At the same time, he provided necessary instructions to the relevant officials and those responsible.
On Friday afternoon, the prime minister inspected areas under the North City Corporation, including ECB Chattar, Mirpur DOHS, Diabari, Uttara Sectors 3, 4, 5 and 6, the Airport Road to Kakoli intersection, Mohakhali, Farmgate, Manik Mia Avenue, Asad Gate, Mohammadpur, Salimullah Road, Iqbal Road, Tajmahal Road, Japan Garden City, Shyamoli intersection, Ganabhaban intersection, Zia Udyan, Sheorapara, Kazipara, Mirpur 10, Kochukhet, the Cantonment, Sainik Club, Kakoli and Banani.
Tarique Rahman was accompanied by State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam, Dhaka North City Corporation Administrator Shafiqul Islam Khan Milton, BNP Special Secretary Belayet Hossain, Prime Minister’s Private Secretary 2 Md. Mehedul Islam and Assistant Private Secretary 2 Abdur Rahman Sani.
The prime minister’s Press Wing said that during the inspection, the prime minister closely observed garbage management and the city corporation’s cleanliness activities, tree plantation, greening, drainage systems and various aspects of urban management in the areas concerned.
The prime minister returned to his residence on Gulshan Avenue in the evening after completing the inspection.
