Daily Agamir Somoy will reach readers the very next day, and the newspaper is expected to play an important role in the country’s democratic process, development and social progress through truthful, objective and people-oriented journalism, said Commerce Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir, MP.

In a goodwill message on Sunday, he extended heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the Agamir Somoy family.

The commerce minister said, “A newspaper is not only a medium for delivering information; it is a powerful platform for shaping public opinion, ensuring accountability and raising civic awareness.”

He added that Agamir Somoy would contribute positively to nation-building by highlighting the hopes, aspirations, achievements and potential of the people.

In his message, he said, “The present government is implementing extensive reform initiatives to make the business, trade and investment environment more dynamic and investor-friendly. The government is working to simplify business procedures, improve ports and logistics systems, diversify exports, attract domestic and foreign investment, and create employment through industrialisation.” He noted that responsible media play a crucial role in presenting these developments and challenges to the public.

Khandaker Abdul Muktadir said that through responsible journalism rooted in truth and fairness, Agamir Somoy would earn readers’ trust in a short time. He extended best wishes to the editor, journalists, officials and staff of the newspaper, and wished continued success, popularity and growth for Agamir Somoy.
