Jamaat to take action after viral video of MP Nazrul

Jamaat-e-Islami is monitoring videos and news reports circulating on social media and in various media outlets involving Gazi Nazrul Islam, the lawmaker from Satkhira 4. The party said it will collect relevant information and take necessary action in accordance with its organizational rules.
The party made the announcement in a statement issued Tuesday by Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General and Central Secretary of the Publicity and Media Department Ehsanul Mahbub Jubayer.
In the statement, he said, “The party is closely monitoring the news recently published in various media outlets and on social media regarding Gazi Nazrul Islam, the lawmaker from Satkhira 4.”
“Statements by Gazi Nazrul Islam himself, his first and second wives, and the father of his second wife have already been published through various platforms regarding the matter.”
The statement said the party will further investigate the issue and, after collecting facts and information about the actual incident, Jamaat-e-Islami will take necessary action in accordance with its organizational rules.
