BNP Acting Secretary General and Prime Minister’s Adviser Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said a mutual understanding exists between Jamaat-e-Islami and the ousted and activity-banned Awami League.
He added that the BNP has already brought necessary documents and evidence forward regarding this matter.
Rizvi made these remarks at a dengue awareness leaflet distribution program in Fakirapool, Dhaka on Saturday morning.
He alleged that Jamaat Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar is attempting to embarrass the government through falsehoods and propaganda. If any attempt is made to create a chaotic situation in the country, the public will not accept it.
Rizvi noted that without heeding opposition propaganda and provocation, the government is continuing to work for the welfare of the public.
Highlighting various achievements of the government, Rizvi said Bangladesh holds a better position compared to India and Pakistan on the Global Hunger Index. He noted that this reflects the government’s correct policies.
BNP Joint Secretary General Abdus Salam Azad MP, Volunteer Affairs Secretary Mir Sarafat Ali Sapu, Health Affairs Secretary Md Rafiqul Islam, Volunteer Wing Vice President Jahedul Kabir Zahid, and Chatradal Vice President Touhidur Rahman Awal, alongside leaders and activists of the party, attended the program.
